Know Your 4C’s
Every diamond is unique, but its quality is universally defined by four key characteristics — known as the 4C’s. These standards determine how a diamond looks, sparkles, and holds its value.
The 4C’s of Diamonds
Understanding Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat — the essential factors behind every diamond’s beauty and value
Cut — The Sparkle Factor
Cut is the most important of the 4C’s, as it directly affects a diamond’s brilliance. A well-cut diamond reflects light beautifully, creating exceptional sparkle and fire.
Color — The Purity of Light
Diamond color is graded from D (completely colorless) to Z (noticeable color). The less color a diamond has, the more rare and valuable it becomes.
Clarity — Nature’s Signature
Clarity refers to tiny natural inclusions formed during a diamond’s creation. Most are invisible to the naked eye and do not affect beauty.
Carat — Size & Presence
Carat measures a diamond’s weight, not just its size. While larger diamonds are more rare, true beauty comes from the balance of all four C’s.
